Objective of the drill:
‘Reading’  your block

Explanation of the drill:
Three players are involved in this exercise. One is standing just before the net. The second is standing on the attack line (10-foot line) with his/her hands in blocking position. The third is the backrow player. As soon as the first player throws the ball in the air (before spiking it), the second chooses left or right which he/she places the block. The first player has to spike the ball alongside the block, and the back player should position him-/herself in the opposite direction of  the block. Dig 15 balls then alternate.
